Artistry within the Twin Cities takes many shapes, forms and mediums. David Cook also known as the flower-bomber is no exception to this rule. From creating fairytale scenes in gritty unsuspecting places, to providing beautiful caricatures for a local cookbook, and even donning his own play Lemonade for the Lawnboy : The Musical where much of its story focuses on David’s past life and how it shaped him into who he is today.
From studio to your home
David’s voracious appetite for creating art that inspires wonder is apparent upon arriving to his Hasting’s based studio. Before even stepping through the doors you are welcomed by a handful of sculptural pieces woven together with scraps and recycled materials coming together to create a synergy, and all telling a different story. Some have had the chance to be placed within street installations, and some are awaiting their big day to hit the stage.
With an effortless and almost innate skill of piecing together a discarded sign from the 1950’s, repurposing it, blending colours in a exciting and curious fashion, only to create something remarkable, something that makes you stop and ponder… “How’d he do that?”
He's Here. Where are you?
David W. Cook’s vibrant creations are now on display within our showroom in downtown Minneapolis. Collectors in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles have all found David’s work to be something they vied to have in their homes. But seeing is believing, pop by and do both today.
